Monroe Inmate Back In Custody

MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Monroe County inmate on the for a day and a half is back behind bars.

Monroe County Sheriff Cecil Cantrell tells WCBI that Mathew Gunn ran from a guard at an Amory hospital on Tuesday night.

Gunn was captured today. It was not released where he was captured.

Cantrell says Gunn was in jail on misdemeanor old fine charges.

Now, he could face a more serious charge.
