Video: Four Area Teams Compete in MAIS Overall Basketball Tournament

CLINTON, Miss. (WCBI) — After winning the class State Title, the MAIS has one more hurdle to clear.

Our four area teams who won their State Championships in MAIS A and AA last week made the trip to Mississippi College on Wednesday to play in the MAIS Overall State Basketball Tournament.

The Overall State Tournament features the top teams from every classification including State Champions from MAIS A, AA, AAA and AAAA classifications.

The Hebron Christian boys and girls, State Champions from Class A, both faced off in the early games of the Overall Tournament on Wednesday.

Oak Hill Academy’s girls, the Class AA State Champions, battled with East Rankin Academy on Wednesday and Columbus Christian, the Class AA Boys State Champions, went at it against Jackson Prep.

All four teams fell on Wednesday and had their seasons come to an end but all four can call themselves 2016 State Champions.
