Video: Area Veterans Here From National American Legion Commander

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) –

American Legion National Commander Dale Barnett was on hand Monday at American Legion Post 69 in Columbus.

Barnett spoke with members about the importance of coordinating activities at the local level with the national body.

He also updated members on a scholarship fund for the children of service members who have been killed in the line of duty that has now been extended to children of wounded vets.

Barnett travels to Washington, DC on Feb 25th .

He will meet with the Veterans Affairs Committee to discuss funding issues.
