AMORY, Miss. (WCBI) — Amory High School held their dump hunger event on Saturday.
Amory High School Sophomore Kaylee Brooke Mccollum planned the event at the Meet The Panthers event to take up food donations to help promote awareness to stop hunger in their community.
A dump truck was filled with food donations and will go to fill the shelves of their local food pantry.
Mccollum says she loves helping the community and would love to also help the entire state.
“This is more than a platform to me. I absolutely love helping our community and I would love to help our entire state. All this food will be going to the Amory Food Pantry. It will be distributed out to all the families in our community,” said Amory Sophomore Kaylee Brooke Mccollum.
If you didn’t get a chance to donate on Saturday, but still want to help out
you can go to the Amory Food Pantry or other local food pantries.
