CBS News Correspondent Stops in Starkville

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – CBS News Correspondent Steve Hartman travels from town to town telling stories of ordinary people.

His “On The Road” series made a stop in Starkville this week.

Hartman visited with Charles “Lala” Evans to learn more about his starring role in a music video and the inspiration behind it.

Hartman says, “I look for stories about real people; stories that when they’re done, people will feel something. They’ll laugh or cry or, ideally, find something they can relate to; see themselves in.”

Hartman’s story on Lala Evans airs on the CBS Evening News Friday and on CBS Sunday morning at 8:00am.
