COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – He was caught in Nevada after robbing a Columbus shoe store.
Now, David Barnhart, 39, waits to see how long he will spend in jail.
Barnhart pleaded guilty to armed robbery this week in Lowndes County Circuit Court.
He will be sentenced February 19th.
He’s accused of holding up Burlington Shoes in Columbus back on July first of 2010.
At that time, police told WCBI Barnhart attempted to buy a pair of shoes but his card was denied.
Then he pulled a gun and ordered the clerk to give him money.
Barnhart left the check behind, giving investigators the clue they needed to make an arrest.
