First Grade Cancer Survivor Gives Back To St. Jude

Aberdeen, Mississippi (WCBI) – She survived cancer after being diagnosed at nine months.

Now, Aberdeen Elementary first-grader Kailee Cunningham is giving back to the hospital that cured her.

She, along with the help of her classmates and parents, raised $550 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Thursday, the group celebrated Kailee’s survival by wearing pink and releasing hundreds of balloons.

Kailee will go back to St. Jude in January for an annual follow up appointment.
