Video: Columbus Judge Tosses his Gavel in the Ring for State’s High Court

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Columbus will be well-represented in an upcoming State Supreme Court election.

District 16 Circuit Court Judge Jim Kitchens has announced that he is joining the race to replace State Supreme Court Justice Ann Lamar in November.

Lamar represents District 3, Place 1. She announced her retirement earlier this year.

Kitchens was elected to his third term as Circuit Judge in November.

Columbus attorney John Brady announced his candidacy for the post last week.
