Flooding Closes Lowndes County Roads

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. – If you are travelling through Lowndes County, take note of these road closures following Tuesday’s storms.

Lowndes County EMA Director Cindy Lawrence tells WCBI that drivers are not being allowed on portions of the following roads.

These include Sobley, Old West Point, Canal, Gatlin, Hodges, Shelton, Alomar, Barton Ferry, Old Macon, and East Lindsey Ferry.

Flooding is the reason for the closures.
