Video: Lee County Men Accused Of Plot To Kidnap Judge

TUPELO, MS (WCBI) – Loose lips lead to the discovery of a plot to kidnap Circuit Judge Paul Funderburk.  Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson says 22 year old William Randolph of Tupelo, 27 year old Matthew Fowler of Guntown and 24 year old Thomas Waddell of Tupelo

are all charged with conspiracy to commit burglary, conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to commit kidnapping.   The plot was uncovered when the three were overheard discussing the plan inside a Tupelo restaurant Sunday.  a customer overheard the conversation and alerted authorities.  Sheriff Johnson says it appears getting money to buy drugs is  motive in the case.
