Man Arrested For Gun On New Hope Campus
LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – What started out as a disturbance call with shots fired, turns into a man being arrested on a Lowndes County school campus with a gun.
Joshua Williams, 30, of Lowndes County is charged with carrying a weapon on a school campus and the concealed carrying of a weapon.
Investigators say deputies were called to a disturbance on Friday.
During that time, deputies say Williams walked to New Hope School where he was called to check on his child.
A school resource officer spotted Williams and stopped him, that’s when the handgun was found.
As of this morning, Williams remained in jail.
