4 Qualify For Columbus Special Election

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Four people qualify to run in the Columbus Ward 5 special election.

The deadline was Wednesday at 5 PM.

Stephen Jones, Gregory “Gary” Jefferson, Cadarrall Eddings, and Marthalie Porter will all be on the ballot.

The special election will be February 16th.

Former Ward 5 Councilman Kabir Karriem was elected to the state House of Representatives and resigned from his city post.
