TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – It was an opportunity to enjoy great food, and have local celebrities as your waiter or waitress and raise money for Make A Wish.

The seventh annual Make A Wish Celebrity Wait Night took place at The Grill at Fairpark in Tupelo.

Celebrities such as Tupelo Fire Chief Thomas Walker, Mayor Jason Shelton, Coach Lee Stratton, and WCBI’s Allie Martin waited tables and mingled with diners.

All tips and donations help make grant wishes to local kids.

“We grant wishes to children with life threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. And life threatening, does not mean terminal necessarily.”

Make A Wish hopes to raise at least $8,000.00  from the celebrity wait night.
