Video: Houston’s Hillhouse and Burdine Sign on Friday

HOUSTON, Miss. (WCBI) — Two of the stars on the diamond from Houston High will continue their careers in junior college.

Seniors Clay Hillhouse and Madeline Burdine signed on Friday to continue their baseball and softball journeys at MS Delta and Northeast Community Colleges respectively.

Hillhouse was a big part of Houston’s run to the 4A State Championship in 2015.

His 3 home runs and 23 RBI’s were two of the best marks on the Hilltoppers last year.

Burdine has been an every-game starter since she was moved up to varsity during her 8th grade year.

As a junior, Madeline hit .452 with 20 RBI’s and 6 doubles. During her sophomore season, she was the Toppers’ go-to pitcher finishing with a 10-6 record and a 2.84 ERA.
