COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – The sign at the entrance to the Columbus Air Force Base on Highway 45 is getting an upgrade.
The Columbus Lowndes Chamber of Commerce is leading the effort to replace the marker, but the group needs some help.
The new sign will cost $25, 000. They have raised about half the amount.
The new sign will be double the height of the current one and wider. The goal is to have it up in the next couple of months.
