Video: Prentiss County Swears In Newest Officials

BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) -Elected officials in Prentiss County are ready to get down to business.

A “Ceremony of Administering Oaths” was held at the Prentiss County Courthouse Monday morning.

Judges Jim Pounds and John Hatcher took turns giving the oath of office to elected officials, including the District Attorney, Chancery Clerk, the Sheriff and others.

One supervisor said he enjoys the hard work even though there is always a big challenge.

“It’s always money, funding, we hope we don’t get cut through the state legislature, this year on anything, that’s always a struggle.”

Seventeen elected officials took the oath of office in Prentiss County.
