Video: West Point Holds Grand Opening for Cultural Arts Center

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) — The City of West Point held a grand opening ceremony Sunday afternoon for its new cultural arts center.
The Louise Campbell Center for the Arts is supported by the the Growth Alliance, the West Point-Clay County Art Council and the City of West Point.
Louise Campbell, who has lived in West Point for over 50 years, was on hand for the ceremony. She’s credited for her dedication to keeping cultural arts alive in the City of West Point.
The center will be used for community gatherings, music and dance events as well as art exhibits.
“Today is just about celebrating the gift that has been given to the community through the McClure family, through the efforts of the Growth Alliance and the City of West Point and the Arts Council. To have this space that can be used to further share the arts with West Point,” says Scott Reed, President of the West Point-Clay County Art Council.
The building was renovated after sitting vacant for several years.
The Louise Campbell Arts Center is located at the corner of Commerce and East Broad Streets in West Point.
