North Mississippi Man Dead After Being Hit By Car

​ALCORN COUNTY , MS (WCBI) –  A Tippah County man is dead after being hit by a car in Alcorn County.   State Trooper Ray Hall says 40 year old Anthony Tippen of Walnut was walking on the side of Highway 72 near the Tippah County line when he was hit just before seven Saturday night.   Tippen was pronounced dead at the scene .  The driver was not injured and no charges have been filed at this time .  The cause of the accident is under investigation.
