Video: Saltillo “Stars” all Adopted

SALTILLO, Miss. (WCBI) – The Saltillo Junior Women’s Club says all of its youngsters for the “Christmas Stars” program have been adopted.

This afternoon, members of the Saltillo Fire Department delivered bicycles and other presents to Saltillo Elementary School.

The fire department adopted some of the “Christmas Stars”, which represented needy children and their wish lists for clothes and toys this Christmas.

“We just wanted to be more involved in our community, help the children, help the families in our community. Christmas is a wonderful time and we just wanted to share the love, share the fun with the kids.”

Parents will pick up the toys this week, and some of the gifts will be delivered to homes in the area.

There were more than 122 “stars” adopted this season.
