Video: New Retail Center Coming to West Point

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) -West Point officials said the new Yokohama Tire Manufacturing plant would bolster the city’s local economy via business recruitment, and that’s turning out to be the case.

Jim Khalaf , owner of Khalaf Plaza in McComb, said the new plant and growing economy were the driving reasons he chose West Point for expanding his business.

The new shopping center will be called Khalaf Plaza West Point, and is expected to accommodate between five and seven businesses.

Construction crews are currently clearing the plot of land located in front of Walmart, which Khalaf purchased from the retailer.
