Video: NMMC Retiree is “Going out in Style”

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A longtime NMMC employee retires in style. Linda Kimble has worked for more than 20 years at the Tupelo hospital, and Monday afternoon, when she finished her shift in the communications department, she was met by her husband, Skip, who had a dozen red roses and a 1955 Jaguar to drive her away.

Kimble says she was surprised at the flowers and the car, on loan from a friend.

“Do you all like vintage cars like this?”

“Oh yes, we met at a car show, he come over wanting to buy my car and I tell him all the time, he’s still paying for it.”

Kimble says she will miss her friends at work, but she is looking forward to traveling with Skip.
