More west Alabama citizens will soon receive a jury summons
WEST ALABAMA (WCBI) – More folks in west Alabama will soon be receiving a jury summons.
The 24th Judicial Circuit court has been having trial since September.
Judge Sam Junkin says several trials have been completed with no known exposure to COVID-19 because of precautions that have been put in place.
Some of those steps in new sanitizing measures, temperature checks, and sanitizing stations.
Jury boxes are reconfigured to keep jurors socially distanced and the number of people in the courtroom is limited.
Jurors may also respond to the summons online or on their smartphones.
