Player Leaves MSU Basketball Program

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Sophomore forward Demetrius Houston is no longer on the basketball team, Mississippi State coach Ben Howland announced Thursday morning.

The Montgomery, Ala., native appeared in just one game this season, scoring 2 points in six minutes of action in the season opener against Eastern Washington.

As a freshman, the former G.W. Carver High School product appeared in 29 games, averaging 3.0 points and 2.2 rebounds.
