Video: Columbus Man Dies In Industrial Accident

COLUMBUS, MS (WCBI)- One man is dead after a midday accident at a Columbus plant.
Emergency crews were called to Columbus Brick just after 11 A.M.  to reports of an industrial accident.  One worker was injured and taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital.  Lowndes County Coroner Greg Merchant says 57 year old  William Joey Cooper was pronounced dead at the hospital from his injuries.  Columbus Brick officials are not releasing details on exactly what happened but say all the proper agencies are being brought in to investigate the death   Coroner Merchant says he has ruled the death as an industrial accident.
