JACKSON, MS (WCBI) A Caledonia man’s last ditch effort to get the Mississippi Supreme Court to overturn his murder conviction has fallen short.
The high court today declined to rehear Brian Holliman’s request for a new trial after ruling against him in September. Holliman was convicted in 2013 of shooting his wife to death and claiming it was a suicide. In the September ruling, The Supreme Court rejected Holliman’s claim that statements he made to deputies should not have been allowed in his trial. Holliman is serving a life sentence for the murder of Laura Holliman
