TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI) — Final preparations are being made for a city wide festival aimed at encouraging healthy lifestyles.
The first Tupelo Health and Wellness Festival runs all day Saturday at Veteran’s Park. There will be vendors from local health food stores, gyms and instructors set up.
Also, throughout the day there will be demonstrations of exercises, such as aqua zumba, pilates, yoga, zumba and other activities.
Participants say it’s a way to promote healthy lifestyles in a fun setting.
“I think that’s the most important thing is getting people involved and letting them become aware that there are opportunities in their community that are affordable and available to them to better their life,” said Roxie Clayton, a fitness instructor.
The festival runs from 10 in the morning until 10 pm. There is also a 5k glow run. That takes place tomorrow night at 8. The festival is free, there is a charge for the glow run. https://www.facebook.com/TupeloFit.
