Columbus Man Arrested After Shooting
Columbus, Mississippi (WCBI) – Columbus police are asking for the public’s help after a Sunday night shooting at the Heidi Ho Nightclub.
Shortly after the gunfire, officers stopped Travon Roby, 24, is charged with convicted felon in possesion of a firearm.
However, Roby is not facing any charges in connection with the 22nd Street South shooting.
Police say a stolen gun was also found at the nightclub. The shooting remains under investigation.

Roby’s bond was set at $5,000.
*Press release from Columbus police: “On 8/17/2014 at approximately 11:58 pm, the Columbus Police Department responded to the Heidi Ho Nightclub located at 106 22nd Street South in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, several bullet casings were recovered and investigators were called to the scene. Officers conducted a traffic stop and identified a suspect as Mr. Travon Roby. Mr. Roby is a known convicted felon and was taken into custody for being in possession of a firearm. Additionally another firearm was recovered at the scene and was reported as stolen. Mr. Roby’s bond was set at $5,000.00 and a Preliminary Hearing date of 11-20-2014. There were no injuries reported.
