Fatal Prentiss County Wreck

Prentiss County, Mississippi (WCBI) – A man and woman riding a motorcycle were killed Wednesday afternoon in a head-on collision on the Natchez Trace Parkway in Prentiss County.

Prentiss County Coroner Greg Sparks said the crash happened near mile marker 289 and the Pharr Mounds about 4 P.M.

Sparks believes a truck drifted into the opposite lane of traffic and collided with the motorcycle.

The names of the cyclists are not being released at this time. An autopsy will be performed in Jackson.
