Columbus, Miss. (WCBI) – The back wall of a office building in downtown Columbus collapsed Monday afternoon.
It happened just before 5 P.M. in the lower level of the Ann Davis Real Estate building in the 400 block of Main Street.
Davis was standing just a few feet away when the collapse occurred. She suffered an arm injury and was taken to Baptist Golden Triangle.
Construction was being done inside the building.
Multiple buildings were evacuated while emergency responders investigated a gas leak.
The westbound lanes of Main Street were shut down because of the gas leak.
