Colom Celebrates DA Race Victory

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Scott Colom is celebrating a victory, beating a longtime incumbent for the District 16 District Attorney’s office.

WCBI caught up with him Election Night.

Colom told us the first thing he’ll do while in office is look at personnel who agree with his direction. But, one of his major priorities is looking at alternative programs.

“My goal is to make sure that the members of this community are safe, and that we make sure that we give our young people a chance to have productive lives,” Colom said. “I think that we need to make sure that that’s a priority for us.”

Colom also thanked the voters who supported him in the election.
