Video: Fans Meet And Mingle With Cody Slaughter Ahead of Fundraiser

TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI) – It was a chance to visit with one of the top Elvis Tribute Artists making a rare stop in our area.

Cody Slaughter met with fans Thursday evening on the rooftop at Park Heights. Slaughter is set to perform Friday evening in Tupelo at a dinner and concert.

The Arkansas native won the Tupelo Ultimate Tribute Artist contest in 2011 and that same year won the Memphis competition.

From there, he went on to perform on Broadway, national TV and many other venues, but he says Tupelo will always be special.

“I’ve been coming here for so many years and normally we stay right here, you got the Hardware Store, the old Lyric Theater, so anytime I come back here it just feels so good and to be greeted by this nice folks, makes me feel like a million bucks, and I like to see the familiar faces such as yourself and this lovely , lovely lady right here,” Slaughter said.
