MDOT Still Looking Into Possible Misuse Of State Truck

JACKSON, MS (WCBI) – We could know next week what kind of action could be taken against a Mississippi Department Of Transportation officer whose truck was used to transport coolers of beer and private citizens to an Ole Miss football game.
As we first told you in late September M-DOT launched an investigation when a series of pictures surfaced on social media. The pictures were taken September 26th at a Pontotoc convenience store.

The photos show two unidentified women loading coolers of beer in the parking lot and putting them inside the clearly identified M-DOT truck.  The agency says it did receive a formal complaint about the possible misuse of state property and launched the investigation.

An M-DOT spokesman told WCBI today the investigation is still ongoing but it is expected to be completed within the next week and a new statement on the status of the investigation could be issued late next week.
