Starkville, Mississippi (WCBI) – Starkville police are warning about bogus payroll checks.

Investigators say Tommy Lamar Davis of Decatur, Georgia, along with Gabriel Petty and Robert Earl Robertson of Starkville are wanted for cashing counterfeit Performance Contractors payroll checks at two businesses.

The company does print legitimate payroll checks.

Police say businesses should contact the company on the payroll check to verify its authenticity.
