Video: Starkville School Kicks Off Reading Challenge

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Some Starkville students are fired up about reading and Mississippi State athletes are cheering them on.

Ward Stewart Elementary kicked off its annual “Bully Book Blitz” Thursday with a pep rally.

The reading challenge encourages students to read as many books as they can within a designated time frame.

Along the way, they will have visits from MSU coaches, student athletes, and even Bully.

The class that earns the most points gets tickets to an MSU sporting event.
