Video: Portable Planetarium Pops up in Patriot Country

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A portable planetarium is giving some local elementary students a tour of the universe.

The Starlab made a stop at Heritage Elementary in Columbus Tuesday.

Students took turns crawling through a tunnel, sitting on the ground, and stargazing.

A projector illuminates the ceiling of the inflatable dome, allowing teachers to customize science lessons.

During their tour, students will learn how to recognize and locate constellations, view moon phases, and much more.
