Iuka Man Dies in Crash

TISHOMINGO COUNTY, Miss. (Press Release) — The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating  a one-vehicle crash in Tishomingo County that claimed the life of an Iuka resident Wednesday.

Troopers responded to MS 172, approximately 1 mile east of Iuka, at 6:30 a.m. Upon arriving, it appeared Brian K. Roach, 50, of Iuka, was traveling east bound when he apparently lost control of his 1997 Ford Taurus, ran off the road and struck some trees.

Roach died on the scene.

Pamela Twitty, 43, of Iuka, was transported to NMMC in Tupelo with serious injuries. She was a passenger in Roach’s vehicle.

Neither the driver nor the passenger were wearing a seatbelt.
