Video: MSU Receives New Genealogy Collection

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – If you’ve ever wanted to search your family history, Mississippi State University just made it a little easier for you. The University has received a new collection of genealogy materials.
The collection of historical materials was donated by the late genealogist E.O. Templeton Jr. Templeton Jr. was honored for his work as a scholar and researcher during a ceremony at the Mitchell Library. The event also included a genealogy fair with seminar topics about how to preserve your family history and a tour of the collections library.
“I think it’s important for people to connect back with their roots too find out where they came from and how their history began,” says Stephen Cunetto, MSU Administrator of Systems.
Guest speakers included Mona Vance-Ali with the history department at the Columbus Lowndes Public Library.
