UPDATE: Motorcyclist Loses Life In Clay County Crash

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) — A West Point man has died following a morning motorcycle crash on Highway 45 Alternate . State troopers say 56-year-old Elvis Strictland was southbound near the Tibbee bridge when he tried to merge into the left lane. That’s when he collided with a pickup pulling a farm trailer. Strictland’s motorcycle was pinned between the truck and trailer. He was flown to North Mississippi Medical Center where he passed away from his injuries. The driver of the pickup was not injured.
