Monroe County Man Dies In Friday Crash

AMORY, Miss. (WCBI) — A Friday night motorcycle accident has killed a Smithville man. Coroner Alan Gurley says 38-year-old Nathaniel Pearson died after losing control of his motorcycle in downtown Amory just before 8 pm. Pearson was talking with a group of friends in front of the Muscle Maxx gym when he rode away North on Main Street. Pearson lost control in Vinegar Bend and crashed. Gurley says the Smithville man died at the scene from multiple injuries. Amory police are investigating.
