Video: Columbus Man Arrested in Weekend Shooting

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — A Columbus man is behind bars, accused of shooting another man, sending him to the hospital.

Columbus police say they’ve arrested 18-year-old Arthur Davidson after a shooting on Peach Street shortly after 11 a.m., Saturday.

Interim Chief Tony Carleton tells WCBI the victim was shot at least once.

Police are still investigating what led up to the incident.

Carleton says the victim is recovering at a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Davidson has been charged with aggravated assault with a weapon, and is being held at the Lowndes County jail.

He’ll make his first court appearance, Monday.
