Second Victim Files Lawsuit Against Former Football Coach

SMITHVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)– A second victim has filed lawsuit against former disgraced North Mississippi football coach. The second lawsuit was filed Monday (8-27) by a Smithville High School graduate and his parent against 57-year-old Dwight Bowling. It accuses the Monroe County School District and three present and former personnel of knowing about, ignoring, and covering up the coach’s alleged sexual misconduct, as well as permitting him to use facilities after retirement.William Stevens, Billy Tacker, and John Chrestman (who recently passed away) are all accused of hearing complaints and failing to act.Bowling is serving a 25-year prison term for transporting minor males across state lines for sex and trying to tamper with a witness.
