Traffic Stops Net Drug Arrests
LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — A bad time to be breaking traffic laws for a trio of Columbus men. Lowndes County deputies have charged three people with drug crimes after two separate traffic stops. In the first case, 23 year old Bert Spars Jr. and 23 year old Clinton Weaver both face possession of cocaine charges after Sparks was pulled over by a Lowndes County deputy. During the stop, the deputy spotted the alleged drugs in the car. Weaver also faces a possession of a concealed weapon charge.
In the second case, 30 year old Jalain Cunningham is charged with possession of cocaine after deputies spotted drugs in the floorboard of his car during a traffic stop. Officers also seized spice and a gun during that arrest.
