Video: Winston County Churches Help Each Other Rebuild

WINSTON COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — In the midst of Louisville’s devastation are the churches. Several of them were completely destroyed. Now several denominations and ministers from across the state are coming together through the Ministerial Alliance to help several African American churches rebuild.

Pastor Haynes: “‘The church building is gone,’ and I said, ‘the church building is gone?’ She said, ‘yes, the church building is gone.’ I said, ‘what you mean? The church building is gone… but our church is still alive.”

Pittman: “This means to me that our association it is a challenge and we will rise to the occasion.”

Ministers say they are holding services at other locations until they rebuild
