Children go Fishing at Tupelo’s Veterans Park

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — In Veterans Park, young anglers were lining the banks waiting to fish.

The lake was stocked with fish, and the Mississippi Wildlife and Fisheries, and Parks Commission wanted to make sure they weren’t all gone before Saturday’s Children’s Fishing Rodeo.

There was a five-fish limit, and some of the participants caught some really big fish.

It was an enjoyable way to spend a family day at Veterans Park.
