American Legion Gets Bingo License
CORINTH, Miss. (AP) — The Mississippi Gaming Commission has granted American Legion Post 6 in Corinth a license to hold bingo games at the legion hall.
Post Commander Tommy Watson tells a local newspaper that games will begin April 11. Watson says bingo will played on Mondays and Fridays.
Watson says it will take a crew of about six to run the games and a few more to operate a concession stand. He says regulations require bingo to be played at least two hours both nights.
Watson says doors to the legion hall will open at 4 p.m. on Monday and Friday night. Sales begin at 5:30 p.m. with play starting at 6 p.m.
Watson says the funds from bingo will go to the legion-sponsored school programs including Boys State and Girls State.
