Columbus Police Investigating Shooting

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Columbus police are investigating a shooting outside of a Motel 6 Saturday night, but officers say it appears to be accidental.

Police say a man was putting some items in the trunk of his car, when his rifle went off, hit the door, and fragments hit two people.

Police are still investigating.
