Man Charged in Thursday Night Shooting
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — A 38-year-old man is charged in last week’s shooting in a Columbus convenience store parking lot.
Willie Coley is charged with aggravated assault in felon in possession of a weapon in connection with the shooting Thursday night at the market at the corner of 14th Avenue North and Waterworks where a number of people were gathered.
The victim was shot in the arm and shoulder during a dispute that left the car he was in riddled with bullet holes.
Coley is free on $30,802 bond. His prior conviction was for robbery in 1995.
