Video: Early Morning Fire Damages Home in Lowndes County

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — A van caught fire, and flames leaped to a nearby home. It happened Thursday morning about 7:30 at a home on Smith Road, just off of Military Road. Fire investigators say the van was parked next to the home, and the flames caught the home’s exterior wall, quickly spreading to the top floor. No one was injured in the blaze.
