Columbus Man Facing Nearly Two Dozen Charges

Columbus, Miss. (WCBI) – A Columbus man is facing 23 charges after a wild ride through city streets.

Demarion Walls, 27, led officers through the West Yorkville and Pickensville Road areas before being arrested on Lehmberg Road.

It started out as a fight with family members, but police say Walls fled when he was confronted by an officer Friday night.

Simple assault on a police officer, suspended drivers license, and speeding are just a few of the charges Walls is now facing. He was wanted on four counts of sale of cocaine.

Walls was denied bond and remains in jail.
