Professor Wiseman Set To Retire

You’ve seen him on WCBI talking about Mississippi politics and elections. Now, MSU professor Marty Wiseman is preparing for his retirement.

The Director of the John C. Stennis Institute for Government made the announcement on Monday.

Wiseman is also a professor of political science.

His career started with the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce.

The Attala County native eventually began teaching at Mississippi State and has testified before the state legislature.

In addition to his academic achievements, Wiseman has provided political insight for numerous media outlets.

His last day at MSU will be December 31st.
